A Huge Thank You to:

The Quest Meets its Champions!

We’d been in search of a new logo for some time. Then I saw Holly’s post on Propelify:

Hello Everyone, in addition to being a business owner I am also an Assistant Professor in the Communication Design Department at Kutztown University. I am holding an event on March 24th called 2018 Designathon Alumni Event / Jersey City. Our alumni designers (web, graphics and advertising) spend the day donating their time and talent creating design work at no cost for area non-profits. We are accepting applications to participate until March 15th so I wanted to spread the word. If you know any non-profts that could benefit please share! https://goo.gl/forms/t4Vvg5Lse65xS0k73

What a generous initiative! We applied, were accepted, went down to Jersey City on March 24 and got paired with Jordan Moser. Like his work? Hire him for your next project! His website is jcmoser.com, and the best way to contact him is via email.

Auspicious Space and Time

The Designathon took place at AndCo Coworking space in downtown Jersey City, right upstairs from Coolvines. It was great to get a tour of this awesome space - and to pop downstairs and get some eco-friendly wine.

On a somber, yet inspiring note, March 24 was the day of the nationwide “March for Our Lives.” Jersey City had a large turnout. The march ended up right outside the coworking space. We all went out to participate and listen to the amazing speeches, given by so many phenomenal young people. It was a moving experience. Humbling to witness such an outpouring of determination and action to end gun violence.

Auspicious, too.

Beating swords into ploughshares has a lot in common with turning footprints into wings. There is so much work to be done on both fronts. So much at stake. Lives to be saved, futures secured. Such a huge potential upside if we can pull these things off. And luckily, there are so many amazing, passionate people who are willing to take on these challenges.
